They used a lot of "catch all" language, so that they could claim almost anything they don't like is a EULA violation.įor example, it has sections about Updates to the OS and Applications, where you "agree to receive these types of automatic updates without any additional notice", and has sections where you agree that you may not "work around any technical restrictions or limitations in the software" But, I wonder how long it will take before Microsoft tries to block it's installation or change the registry keys that Win 10 uses for some of those items so that users can't do things like defer updates with them.Īfter all, Microsoft may claim it's a violation of the EULA to use those types of tools (especially given the way Microsoft is likely to interpret it).
